This movie shows the interaction of insect pests with a Snapdragon flower. Thrips are tiny insects which live inside the bloom. Feeding on the pollen they reduce fertility of the flower and can infect the plant with damaging viruses. With Macro Optical Projection Tomography we can see how populations of thrips (which appear as small light blue objects in the movie) are placed in the flower in 3D.
