Venus Fly Traps

Photograph of a carnivorous Venus plant trap leaf in green with the shadow of a fly trapped inside
Venus fly traps (Dionaea muscipula) are carnivorous plants which get the nutrients they need by catching insects. Using Macro Optical Projection Tomography we can look inside the closed trap to see captured prey inside.
