Cephalotus Botanical Drawings

Cephalotus follicularis from Curtis’s botanical magazine, plate 3118 (1831) shows a whole plant with ground hugging pitcher leaves and a flower spike bearing small star like white flowers. Curiously in addition to pitcher trap leaves, Cephalotus produces simple leaves and occasionally leaves intermediate in form between simple leaves and pitchers
